For their third collaboration, Engineered Garments and Gola rework the Match, a court shoe introduced in 1977 with roots in squash. Elastic panels take the place of traditional laces, turning the familiar sporting silhouette into an easy slip-on.
The upper combines suede and cotton twill, with a cushioned insole underfoot. The navy upper and gum sole give the court-shoe shape a familiar sporting contrast. The mix of materials and the change in fastening give this archival design a different everyday character.
